Porch Productions Inc. of Charlotte presents Home on the Mornin’ Train by Kim Hines Set in 1839, Talledega, Alabama and 1939, Hamburg, Germany-Home on the Mornin’ Train is driven by a book about the Underground Railroad woven throughout the play, which guides a group of young Jewish children of hope to escape to freedom. The story delivers a message of courage and the evidence that those who long for freedom travel the same road. A story so eloquently displayed in the riveting talents of these outstanding actors, the story is also captured in powerful song and dance. This all-youth production unfolds as two separate dramas on one stage — with lasting impressions for the audience.Home on the Morning Train runs February 19th - 25th, 2014 at Vance High School Auditorium, 7600 Ibm Dr, Charlotte, NC 28262.
